Job opportunity at the University of Manitoba

The University of Manitoba invites applications for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair, a tenured or tenure-track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor with the Department of Community Health Sciences. The successful candidate must have a doctoral degree in Economics, or in a relevant area such as Health Policy and Planning, with very strong training in health economics. He or she is expected to develop and lead an independent research program that focuses on building knowledge and research capacity in the economics of the healthcare system, and contribute to teaching and graduate student training within the department. The candidate will also lead the development of a Health Economics Consulting Unit. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled. Data Story on Ethnocultural Diversity and Inclusion in Canada:

Statistics Canada invites you to three half-day events on Ethnocultural Diversity and Inclusion in Canada featuring a keynote presentation by Anil Arora, Chief Statistician of Canada, followed by an expert panel discussion on the evolution of ethnic, cultural, religious and linguistic diversity,and its measurement: in Montreal on April 11, in Toronto on April 29, and in Vancouver, on May 8. You have to register in order to attend these free events, as space is limited. Call for proposals: settlement services for immigrants

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has launched a second Call for Proposals (CFP2) to complement direct settlement services across Canada by funding projects which promote research, capacity-building and coordination services. The deadline for applications is April 30, 2019. Information webinars will be offered during the application period to provide interested reserchers with the opportunity to ask questions to IRCC.
