Introduction to SAS

Friday, January 20 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm

This workshop will be given in English by Xingfei Liu, PhD candidate, Department of Economics, Concordia University, and will take place at the QICSS laboratory, 3535 Queen-Mary road, room 420.

Objective: The objective of the course is to familiarize the participants with the working knowledge of SAS by introducing the basic programming skill of SAS at an introductory level. By the end of the session, participants of the training session are expected to be able to manipulate data and generate basic statistics using SAS. The training will take place in the computer laboratory at Quebec Interuniversity Centre for Social Statistics of University of Montreal Campus. All participants will be required to practice exercises using public micro-level survey data (Canadian Census 2001) with the help of the trainer.
