Introduction to R with a special emphasis on graphics

This course is intended for graduate students, faculty members, and researchers who plan to conduct quantitative empirical analyses. No prior knowledge of R is assumed. However, participants are expected to be familiar with basic statistics (e.g. from introductory courses in statistics or econometrics).

The freely available statistical software environment R has established itself as a de‐facto standard in many areas of statistics over the last years. The aim of this workshop is to provide an introduction into R and to repeat and illustrate statistical concepts that are relevant for applied empirical studies with R.
