PhD scholarship opportunity

As part of the research project «Mobilités et trajectoires migratoires au Canada » at Laval University, a PhD grant is available to a young researcher who is interested in pursuing his or her postgraduate study with the Longitudinal Immigration Database (IMDB). Candidates must hold a master in sociology, in demography or in a related discipline, be fluent in French, and be fully knowledgeable about statistical methods to analyze longitudinal data. The deadline to submit your candidacy is June 24.

Refugees Welcome Here: Awareness, Advocacy and Action

The Canadian Council for Refugees is hosting its spring Consultation on June 2 to 4, in Saskatoon, with the participation of the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, John McCallum. The consultation will bring together over 300 people from across Canada and beyond and offer key opportunities for information exchange, networking, and strategy development.
