Much of the research undertaken with data available through the CRDCN is health related. This section was developed to help you find relevant news, publications, and videos. The main datasets used to examine health issues are also listed.

Canadian Health Measures Survey

This is the first survey to take direct physical measurements from a national sample of Canadians. With these data, researchers can link lifestyle, nutrition and other aspects of life to physical features, such as blood pressure, bodyweight and oral health.

Three of the four waves are now available in the RDCs.

Health in Canada - StatCan website module

Statistics Canada's Health in Canada website module makes it easy to locate information on the health of Canadians. It points researchers to data, policy makers to publications, the media to press releases, and health service providers to a mine of interesting statistics.
