Where to access data

The numbers of Research Data Centres (RDCs) and branches has grown steadily over the year, and researchers now have access to over 30 facilities across the country.

  • QICSS - Laval branch

    Opened in March 2005, this facility is located on the campus of Laval University in Quebec City. It is one of the four branches affiliated to the Quebec interuniversity Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS).

  • QICSS - McGill - Concordia branch

    Opened in January 2006, this facility is located on the campus of McGill University and is attached to the Quebec Inter-University Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS). Its creation was made possible by a Canada Research Chair in Social Statistics and Family Change awarded to Céline Le Bourdais in the Fall of 2004 along with a grant from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI).

  • QICSS - Sherbrooke branch

    Opened in 2004 and located on the campus of the University of Sherbrooke, this facility is one of the four branches affiliated to the Quebec interuniversity Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS).

  • QICSS - UQAM-INRS branch

    Opened in October 2005 in collaboration with the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS), this facility is located on the campus of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM).  It is one the four branches affiliated to the Quebec interuniversity Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS).

  • Quebec Interuniversity Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS)

    Created in 2001, the Quebec Interuniversity Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS) serves the whole research community in Quebec  The main infrastructure is located on the campus of the University of Montreal but researchers can also access data through four affiliated branches on the campus of UQÀM, Sherbrooke, McGill, and Laval universities. The UdeM lab opened its doors in April 2001.
