In Memoriam

It is with great sorrow that we have learned that our colleague, Élise Comoé, suddenly passed away over the weekend at age 44. Élise has been a dedicated employee of the Research Data Centre Program for the past four years. Very appreciated by the users as well as by her colleagues, she has worked in all three Montreal branches of the QICSS and had recently moved into the position of Acting RDC Regional Manager for the Quebec region. Élise leaves behind her husband, Jean-Marie Dieket, her 11 year old daughter, Julia, and two step-children Jean-Michel (11) and Marina (15). A funeral and reception will be held on Saturday October 26. The whole team at the CRDCN and RDC Program would like to express its most sincere condolences to her family and friends.

New type of application to access an RDC

We are pleased to announce that active researchers can now access an RDC through a new application type called “Programs of Research.” Designed to better identify large projects that are grant-funded and have several sub-projects on related research themes, this application process offers several advantages from the researcher’s perspective. Read this brief introduction to find out more about it, or visit the application and guideline web page.
