Appointment at Statistics Canada

We are pleased to announce that Jodi-Anne Brzozowski has been appointed as the new Director of the Microdata Data Access Division at Statistics Canada.  Among her responsibilities she will thus oversee the Research Data Centre program which give our network its rationale. Previously, Jodi-Anne was Chief responsible for the General Social Survey (GSS) program. After 18 years with Statistics Canada, she brings to the program a wealth of experience and expertise. Special Student competition

The Population Change and Lifecourse Strategic Knowledge is sponsoring a conference on 19-20 March (pdf) in Ottawa and wish to invite up to twenty students to attend this event. Travel and accommodation will be covered by the Cluster. Interested students should send a cover letter explaining interests, with a curriculum vitae and a letter of support from a faculty Cluster member, to Rod Beaujot (with cc to Zenaida Ravanera) by 30 November 2014. International Day of Families

Several researchers throughout the Network examine family related issues, including changing family structure, mothers’ participation in the labour market, and child development.
