Well-deserved honour

Congratulations to Professor Céline Le Bourdais, Academic Director of the McGill/Concordia facilty and member of our Board, who was recently honoured by the CIRANO for her outstanding contribution to building sound public policy in Quebec. Céline is not only an outstanding researcher whose work has helped modernize our undertanding of families and related policies, but also a pionner who was instrumental in the creation of the Network and a pilllar upon which it grew. A well-deserve honour indeed!

CRDCN’s response to the Globe and Mail series Canada in the dark

The CRDCN welcomes the light that this series shines on the importance of investing more in the collection of Canadian data, in facilitating access, and in ensuring its public availability to inform decisions of critical importance to Canadians. The CRDCN issued the following statement today to stress how the Network and Research Data Centres have been part of the solution for nearly two decades.

2019 National Data Services Framework Summit

Join us on January 24 at the 2019 National Data Services Framework Summit in Ottawa where CRDCN Executive Director Martin Taylor will discuss data accessibility, the first FAIR principle. Organized by Research Data Canada, this forum is an opportunity for the Canadian research data management community to learn, collaborate, exchange ideas, and discuss common issues, with a goal of developing a shared understanding of the current Canadian data landscape and recommendations for future initiatives.
