Gender Wage Gap: public consultations in Ontario

The Government of Ontario is seeking public input to develop a strategy which will help close the wage gap between men and women. The Gender Wage Gap Steering Committee will accept submissions by email at [email protected] until January 15, 2016. You can also post comments on Twitter using #wagegapON. Digital Data Management: Call for Feedback

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) are in the process of reviewing and enhancing their data management requirements for supported researchers. As a step in this process, the Agencies have developed a draft Statement of Principles on Digital Data Management and they are now inviting feedback from institutions, associations, organizations, and individuals. Comment on the draft Statement, on its comprehensiveness and balance, as well as on its usefulness in advancing data stewardship in general and data management practices in particular are welcome until September 4, 2015. Feedback can be sent electronically to one of the Agencies.

Public consultations in Ontario: The Changing Workplaces Review

The Ontario Government has launched a public consultations on the changing nature of the modern workplace. The consultation will consider how the Employment Standards Act and the Labour Relations Act could be amended to best protect workers while supporting businesses in our changing economy. Comments are encouraged throughout the consultation period and will be accepted until September 18, 2015. To know how to contribute, read the Guide to Consultations.
