Debating pension reform in Canada

In light of the on-going debate on pension reform in Canada, we wish to point out two recent pieces by researchers using RDC confidential microdata that can help inform the discussion. One by Frank Denton and Byron Spencer on age of pension eligibility in relation with gains in life expectancy and the other by Pierre Lefebvre, Philip Merrigan and Pierre-Carl Michaud on recent retirement patterns.

Public consultation in Ontario

Ontario has released a draft cycling strategy and is looking for public input on how to encourage and improve cycling safety across the province, until Jan. 29, 2013.
