Working with a disability

The Report of the Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities on the employment opportunities for persons with disabilities is now available. This study follows the release early in 2013 of the report from the Panel on Labour Market Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities, Rethinking Disabilities in the Private Sector. Several studies on this issue are also available in our online bibliography.

Provincial Strategies in Mental Health

Researchers working on topics related to mental health will be interested to know that the Caledon Institute of Social Policy recently released a report entitled Knowledge Exchange on Mental Health. Authors Sherri Torjman and Anne Makhoul review the mental health strategies introduced in recent years by provincial and territorial governments and explore the challenges that are common to all. The report concludes with a summary of major considerations for the future.
