Consultation on digital scholarship

Canada’s federal research granting agencies and the Canada Foundation for Innovation, in collaboration with Genome Canada, are inviting your feedback on the consultation document Toward a Policy Framework for Advancing Digital Scholarship in Canada they jointly prepared to help address the digital infrastructure challenges that Canada is facing. Institutions, associations, organizations and individuals may provide input until December 16 via email to [email protected].

October 16 : World Food Day

Many researchers use microdata to document and better understand eating habits in Canada and their health implications. Among them, we would like to point out the work of Lynn McIntyre and her colleagues examining food insecurity and its consequences. Consult our bibliography to find more research results on related issues.

Working with a disability

The Report of the Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities on the employment opportunities for persons with disabilities is now available. This study follows the release early in 2013 of the report from the Panel on Labour Market Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities, Rethinking Disabilities in the Private Sector. Several studies on this issue are also available in our online bibliography.
