Parliamentary internship

You are a young researcher interested in learning more about the federal policy process hands-on? The Parliamentary Internship Programme is a great opportunity to learn firsthand about the work that goes on in the House of Commons. You will write speeches, briefing notes, research reports, and questions for question period. You will visit your MP's riding, author innovative research papers on Parliament and the work of MPs, and take part in unique legislative study tours within Canada and abroad. This internship is a 10-month, full-time, paid position. Apply by January 31, 2018

IMDB pilot project in the RDCs: call for proposals

In order to support the extended use of the Longitudinal Immigration Database (IMDB) in the RDCs, Statistics Canada is launching a pilot project to address feasibility issues, including further testing of the confidentiality vetting rules and testing of the IT resources necessary to transfer and analyze these large data files. This dataset combines linked administrative immigration and tax data files. It is a comprehensive source of data on the socio-economic outcomes of the immigrant tax filer population in Canada. Postdoctoral fellowship opportunity

Two postdoctoral fellowships in health policy and healthy public policies are presently offered as part of the Strategic Training Program in Transdisciplinary Health Policy Research led by McGill University and the INSPQ, and funded by the CIHR. Successful candidates will work under the joint supervision of Dr. Alain Poirier and that of one of the following professors: Daniel Weinstock, Amélie Quesnel-Vallée, Erin Strumpf, or Gilles Paradis. The fellowship is worth $70,000 for one year, starting September 2017. Interested researchers should submit a complete application as soon as possible, and no later than August 21, 4:30 pm.
