Postdoctoral fellowship opportunity

Two postdoctoral fellowships in health policy and healthy public policies are presently offered as part of the Strategic Training Program in Transdisciplinary Health Policy Research led by McGill University and the INSPQ, and funded by the CIHR. Successful candidates will work under the joint supervision of Dr. Alain Poirier and that of one of the following professors: Daniel Weinstock, Amélie Quesnel-Vallée, Erin Strumpf, or Gilles Paradis. The fellowship is worth $70,000 for one year, starting September 2017. Interested researchers should submit a complete application as soon as possible, and no later than August 21, 4:30 pm.

Renewed funding for the Network

We are pleased to announce that SSHRC and CIHR have renewed their financial support to the Network until 2021 by awarding a directed grant of $14.5M. The announcement was made this morning in Saguenay by the Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Minister of National Revenue. Read the news release.

Knowledge synthesis funding opportunities

In support of its continued engagement and investment in Aboriginal research and talent, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) offers a Knowledge Synthesis Grants funding opportunity to support the production of knowledge syntheses and scoping reviews that will contribute to the use of synthesized evidence and best practices in decision-making and practice on Aboriginal issues. These grants will foster a deeper understanding of the current and historical, cultural, social and economic experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada. Grants are worth up to $25,000 and all synthesis reports must be completed by May 2017. The deadline to submit a proposal is September 13.
