Data update - pilot projects for administrative and other data in the RDCs

Statistics Canada and the CRDCN have been working together to bring new types of data into the RDCs. They are first introduced into the RDCs on a pilot basis, in order to a) establish the procedures to ensure data confidentiality and b) develop the documentation researchers need to properly analyse these data. Census micro-data – exploiting their potential

Census micro-data now accessible through the RDC network.  Learn more about their potential at a day-long conference organized by the QICSS on Tuesday, 6 May 2008 in Quebec city – as part of the 76th ACFAS Meetings. Researchers will discuss the insights offered by census micro-data on topics ranging from linguistic minorities to income inequalities to historical demography, and talk about new methods and approaches for analysing these data.
