2019 International Metropolis Conference

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is organizing the 2019 International Metropolis Conference, the world's foremost gathering of migration experts, experts, government representatives, civil society and policy makers. The conference will take place on June 24 – 28, 2019 in Ottawa/Gatineau. The Call for proposals is now open and will close on March 4, 2019. Call for student papers: 2019 CPS meeting

The Canadian Population Society (CPS) invites students to submit papers to its regular annual meeting or its Graduate Development Conference which will be held next June as part of the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences in Vancouver. Papers accepted to either are eligible to be considered for the CPS Student Paper Competition, which rewards the best paper with a $500 prize. The deadline to submit an abstract is January 31. Statistics Canada,100 years and counting: Still time to register

The Association for Canadian Studies and the Canadian Institute for Identities and Migration, in collaboration with Statistics Canada and the Vanier Institute of the Family, invite you to attend the conference marking Statistics Canada 100th anniversary, on December 6 & 7, 2018 at the Delta Hotel in Ottawa. The program will shed light on how Canada’s population has evolved over the last 100 years and on the critical contribution made by the country’s national statistical agency in measuring its evolution; current and future challenges will also be discussed.
