The Canadian Community Health Survey: what’s new in the 2015 cycle?

Where: CRDCN webinar series (online)

When: January 25, 2017, 1PM - 2:15PM (EST)

With: Andrew MacKenzie, Section Chief (CCHS & CHSCY), Health, Justice and Special Surveys Branch, Statistics Canada.

Since 2001, the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) collects information on health status, health care use, and determinants of health of the Canadian population. It relies upon a large sample of respondents and is designed to provide reliable estimates at the regional level.

Significant changes were brought to this survey in 2015. This webinar will provide an overview of these changes, including changes brought to the questionnaire content and to the sampling frame and allocation methodology. It will also discuss the implications for time series comparability with previous cycles and prepare researchers to use the new data once it is released in the RDCs.
