Will the long form be back in time for Census 2016?

With the election of a majority Liberal government last Monday, the social science community is eager to see what will happened with the long form census, cancelled by the previous government and replaced by a voluntary survey in 2011. Munir Sheikh et Ivan Fellegi think not, in this article by Tavia Grant published in The Globe and Mail today. But Alain Bélanger and Benoit Laplante press the new government to act very quickly in an open letter signed by tens of other researchers.
