Statistics Canada: 100 Years and Counting - Call for Proposals

On the occasion of Statistics Canada’s 100th anniversary, the Association for Canadian Studies and the Canadian Institute for Identities and Migration, in collaboration with Statistics Canada and the Vanier Institute of the Family, will be holding a conference (December 6 & 7, 2018 - Ottawa) that will look at how Canada’s population has evolved over the last 100 years and at the critical contribution made by the country’s national statistical agency in measuring its evolution.  You are invited to submit original proposals to organize bilateral or multilateral sessions (i.e., workshops, roundtables or poster sessions) using comparative perspectives that offer important insights into measuring identities in Canada in the past, present and future. For information on themes and topics, workshop formats, and selection criteria, please click here. Proposals should be submitted no later than October 19, 2018.
